A festival organised by the Málaga Federation of Folk Clubs, where we're all invited.
|
On 28 February, Martín Carpena Sports Hall is playing host to the celebrations of the Day of Andalusia 2008, organised by the Málaga Federation of Folk Clubs. In fact, the staff at the Federation are working hard on the details of this big party, and they invite us all to join in.
The festival begins at noon with a panda show and the opening speech, to be delivered by popular comedian Manolo Sarriá, a.k.a. 'Linterna' in what used to be Dúo Sacapuntas. The ceremony will be emceed by journalist Rafael Cremades, who delivered the opening speech last year.
Moreover, the Andalusian and Málaga flags will be given to draw winners, and there'll be a show by the Town Music Band, whose members will play the Spanish and Andalusian anthems.
Before leaving, attendees will get free drinks and food, perhaps mingling with the authorities.
Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga, and Seville: these are all the provinces that make up this beautiful region in southern Spain.
